What do you think of the idea that claims of the paranormal are often trite?

Well they are. People market paranormal abilities and paranormal phenomena as scary. In some cases, you're encouraged to fear your natural gift because it's not seen as "normal" (Which is ridiculous). Everybody has these abilities. It all depends on whether or not you tap into them or are willing to use them.
