Red ring of death xbox 360question?

oo so earlier tonight my brother got rock. And and I feel like my xbox got the red ring of death because of all the USB cords plugged into my 360. I feel as though all these cords into my fox made it overhat. Back to the ring though, I've been doing research and al account of red ring seem to be three quarters with the exeption of the top rigid quarter blinking red. When I had the ring, only the bottom right ring was red. Does THI smean anything? Please a, I'd like to know before I wet xbox on for repair. Also please bear with my typing errors, I'm typing. Off my iPod touch and its not allowing me to fix my mistakes :/
