Peyton Manning for 2008 MVP?

I was hesitant at first, but I don't think the MVP should go to who does well at the beginning of the season. It should go to the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER that year. Hence the name. Anyhow...I don't think it's a coincidence that once he got back on track from his injury, they've won 6 straight and are now 9-4...I can't see who else could win this award. Kurt Warner's team is not that impressive outside of the NFC West. Could the MVP go to a wild card team if they've got a good record?
