Career choice as Firefighter in san diego?

Im still 14 and in highschool but what are the requirments to be a fireman in san diego. on average how much do you get paid. what are the nessesary requirments to become one. I play football and im in good shape so i dont think the physical work wont be to hard. and also leave anything else thats needed to be a fireman in san diego or even any where else. Do you have to go to college? please answer i am seriously taking this in consideration.
